What is the best utilisation (value) for spending Virgin Airmiles.
Is it best to use on flights alone or package holidays?
I 'think' if they are used on Virgin holidays you exchange o many for £50 voucher, but again, are you limited as to how much in vouchers you can spend against their holidays?
Thank you in advance

The folks at V-flyer may give a good answer. Lots of variables.
How may miles do you have?0 -
Upgrades on flights, or reward seats would be better value than the holiday vouchers. I used some recently to book Upper Class reward seats to Las Vegas. Only £300 each, one way.Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

We used our miles last August, 4 return flights to Orlando £850 out in economy back in Premium.
For that price no brainer especially in the school holidays. Way way better than London AirwaysPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0 -

I've used mine for Virgin wines around Christmas, so we get lots of good deals. I did look at using them for holidays once but didn't think it was the best deal. We recently booked return flights to Orlando in upper class in August for £370 return using OHs miles:D0

160k would get you return to Atlanta in UC, than use atlanta as a hub to fly to wherever you want to get to
You tend to get more availability on that route as well. You would just need to transfer 10k to your wife so you both had the 80k in your accounts.

The only problem with Virgin is that they don't have a family account unlike BA/Avios unless you have their top tier status
I costs a fortune to amalgamate the miles so you would need to book each flight separately or a leg of a flight, inbound outbound
For example a return flight to New York in Upper class is 80k each, Your wife would need another 10k about £35 in CC vouchers with the current promiotionPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0
