I have a Lenovo B50-70 laptop running windows 8, suddenly the number keys have stopped working.
On the top line only the 5/6 keys work and on the number pad all numbers work except 2 and 0, completely frustrating.
i have searched google where there is record of the probem but i cant find a solution.
Have factory reset laptop hence i'm back on windows 8, Laptop only 18 months old fearing its a write off.
Currently having to use on-screen keyboard which is far from ideal, if anyone can help i would be extremely grateful thanks

IMHO, it's a hardware fault most likely. Either a conductive track on the plastic sheets or the keyboard chip.0

Spilt anything into your laptop keyboard lately?0

new keyboard, dont know hows much your cost. But I bought a replacement brand new (non oem) keyboard for £9.80 for my smsung.
It's worth removing the keyboard and checking the connection though, maybe something came loose.0 -
Chances are it's a faulty KB matrix track, been careful with liquids ?
A quick google suggests a replacement UK KB can be bought for about £15 off ebay from a UK supplier, no idea about the supplier but seems to have a good reputation and has been trading 5 years.

If everything else on the keyboard is working OK, just buy a separate number pad.0

Have you checked that the 'number lock' is working?

I know that if mine is off the 8 & 2 become up and down0
