If you read the original post again, you will see that the OP did not use the replacement hotel that the holiday company found.
The OP decided to find his own replacement and it is that hotel that the OP paid for.

Are you really surprised it hasn't been asked?
The OP told us in the original post:

Clearly they paid by credit card.

If you read the original post You will see that when we got to the second hotel they didn't have a room for us as promised after all. But thanks for taking time to actually read it in detail and thanks for your help. !!

So what are your actual losses during all the nonsense?
  • Our losses are £945 including everything. I read you can use the European Court system as long as your claiming less than £1800 I think the total is.

There is a European Small Claims procedure, that can be used if the claim is under €2,000, which is more like £1,500 these says.

But it looks like you still have to submit the claim in the language of the court concerned, and you might be liable for costs if you lose.

  • Hi antrobus. .
Yehh I did read into that. Which does make the process a bit daunting. I guess the other option is using my credit card company as it was a separate purchase on my card to the original
holiday. I know some of the £ 2000 on the card we are going to have to clear which we are doing slowly.

    Have you tried these people?
  • What my cc company ? No not yet. I wanted it to look as though I'd tried everything else first.
