I am looking for old duvets,duvet covers,sheets,towels etc to utilized by a small local animal shelter in the St.Helens / Newton-le-Willows area.
I would be most greatful if anybody could help.

    Try your local freecycle.

    Also, check local hotels and B& B's. When they replace these items they are usually still serviceable, not good enough for paying guest.

    Some rescues also have a regular supply from care homes, where the bedding is replaced at fixed intervals, whether damaged or not.
  • I bet something in the local paper would bring in loads of donations. Duvets can't normally be recycled so people will be glad of a way to reuse them.

    Another source might be holiday caravan site complexes- they throw out duvets when they are worn out. Don't know if you have any such sites in your area.
    We had a load from Butlins a few years ago.

    I would certainly try to get an editorial mention in your local paper- not an advert 'cos that costs money!

    Crotchet:61angels, 229cards=453 £158.55profit!!!
