I recently got back a flat where I provided a Dyson. The place had been let for two & a half years, and the Dyson had not been emptied once. The dust had completely filled the machine down to the beater bar, jamming it.

I have had the whole machine in pieces to wash them, the filters have been in soak overnight, yet still I can smell my lazy tenants when I run the machine. I just ordered new filters.

I think that's the only option in extremis. :)
