The radio active may be expensive, but the surgery actually works out far cheaper than years of medication and check ups.0

Whenever my cat has stomach issues or goes through phases of not eating much I switch cat food for something much plainer. Try tinned tuna, small amounts at a time. Cats love it and it's very easy on the tummy.
Alternatively try just plain chicken pieces, if you cook yourself some chicken breast cut a small amount off for the cat.0 -
Mia is totally fine now - she had the enlargened thyroid removed as she developed allergic reaction to the meds (scratching herself nearly raw in the face).
Chi has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. I've been feeding him raw meat gruel with a spoon. Also giving him fluids with a squirty syringe in his mouth - chicken broth, slippery elm bark & custom-made infusion (oatstraw, lemon balm, nettles & rosehip). He's got more lively in the past few weeks - going outside in the catflap & since I've given little & often doesn't hide away in a corner. Vet has prescribed steroid tablets. I was going to have him pts this week but then he perked up so much it seemed too horrible to have a lively (but v skinny) cat put down. Ideas welcomed - looks like the spoonfeeding I'm stuck with but at least he is now drinking independanty & poos (when they appear) are solid.0
