I wonder if Tesco mortgage arm are a bunch of numpties. We have notified them of our Son's death & sent a certified death certificate. They won't tell us what the rough outstanding mortgage is, as of today, until we have Letters of Administration.
Chicken and egg, or am I being thick? We are quite happy to sign an indemnity of some sort if that's what they require, we aren't asking for EXACT figures, just the basic state of play at the moment so we can complete the Probate forms nearly accurately!
Maybe I shouldn't be surprised, the guy asked for my SON by name twice. He's gone off now to take further advise on the best way forward.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
Sadly some of these people are poorly trained and just don't understand what they are doing. Go back to them and say you want to invoke their complaint's procedure.SevenOfNine wrote: »I wonder if Tesco mortgage arm are a bunch of numpties. Did you not find any paperwork amongst your son's belongings that could give you an estimated figure. As long as you're not too close to the IHT threshold I wouldn't worry about an exact figure.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0
