Anyone claimed PPI with Natwest ?
My Husband put a claim in for PPI with Natwest last week and received a text off them today saying they have sent him a letter out with the outcome of the claim do they normally respond that fast ? I am not sure if it's a good sign or bad

Sometimes they are quick, you will have to wait for the letter.
You should have kept to your original thread, you may have another query regarding the redress if you win.
Best to keep it all together.

Depends on the amount, if it's small (below their auto-pay limit) they may not fight it. If they have strong evidence that refutes your allegations they may reject - depends what your complaint reasons and evidence wereSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I wonder is the letter just an acknowledgement of the complaint?0

We have already had the acknowledgement letter back last week my husband is self employed and was when he took the loan out and he was told he would need the PPI to be accepted for the loan.0

I'm guessing you complained on the basis of either that he was told he had to take it (which is hearsay, you can't prove it and an easy rejection for the bank) and / or about the self-employed bit (in which case if the PPI would cover the self-employed then it would be an easy rejection).
Wait for the letter then post here when you have the response and people can advise. If you were rejected remember you have 6 months to refer it to the FOS or it will become time-barredSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
