Relyon Mattress

Hi

Bought a new Relyon mattress from land of beds a year ago. It came with a 5 year warranty,however in less then a year it has developed a large kink in the middle. Nothing has damaged it (we moved house but was fine when we unpacked it) and it has been used on a suitable base since.

As far as I am concerned this has been subject to.normal wear and tear however Relyon have advised this is not covered.

Anyone else had problems with Relyons customer service?

    Have they told you why it's not covered?

    The Relyon guarantee says:
    GUARANTEE

    For your peace of mind, Relyon offers a 5 year guarantee on all mattresses and divans, and a 1 year warranty on all furniture.

    Relyon, via the retailer, will repair or replace, free of charge, any product that becomes defective due to faulty materials or poor workmanship.

    In the unlikely event that a manufacturing fault develops during the guarantee period, please contact the retailer where you made your purchase with the nature of your complaint. To assist the retailer you will need to provide the following information:

    • Date of purchase
    • Relyon sales order number or receipt of purchase
    • Product name and size
    • Full description of complaint

    The guarantee will cease to apply if:

    • The product is found to have been mistreated or damaged.
    • The product has not been maintained in accordance with the care instructions supplied. This includes mattresses being turned or rotated on a regular basis if applicable.
    • Any mattress under complaint has been used with a damaged divan or a divan that is deemed to be of unsuitable quality.
    • The mattress has been used on a slatted base with slats more than 7cm (2.75") apart.

    Following replacement or repair, the guarantee will remain valid from the date of original purchase.

    Relyon reserves the right to substitute alternative materials if the original is no longer available. Relyon unfortunately cannot undertake to match other items not under complaint with any substitute fabric used on a replaced item.

    This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

    If not, have you spoken to whoever sold the thing to you?

    This was the response I got from Land Of Beds

    Relyon have responded to us today and advised that this does not appear to be a manufacturing fault and are unable to take this further.

    We are sorry that we cannot be of any further help on this occasion.

    Have Land of Beds or Relyon inspected the mattress?

    Have you complied with all the terms of the guarantee?

    No one has inspected it, I simply took a picture with my camera phone which clearly shows the dip and no tear in the mattress itself.

    I have complied with all terms - its a non rotatable mattress anyway!
