I have installed W7 and replaced Vista as Chrome wouldn't be supported.
On W7 I have two icons that I want removed from desktop, Libraries and Homegroup?
I have currently doing W7 update and it's taking ages...it is saying "checking for updates..."
Thanks

Please help
I am running windows 7 updates and it is saying checking for updates. This is first time I am checking for updates on Windows 7 (moved from Vista to Windows 7).
Because of this I can't run 'safe money' on KIS 2015 until the OS is updated fully.

can take ages , but when they start , they will all start
try doing a restart , hopefully it will install the first , then the rest will follow later when you updateSave a Rachael

sounds strange those being on the desktop , was this a CLEAN installation or an upgrade installation from vista?
try a reboot (reboot and install updates) a few times to get updates started
the version of win 7 , how old was it ? early version or with service packs ,Save a Rachael

ok we have discussed the upgade from vista on this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5390157
I made my comments known on that thread , win 7 upgrade from vista was a good few years ago , and back then I never managed to get a good working win 7
others will argue , but I suggest copying your files off it , trawl the web to the makers site and d/load drivers for win 7 (especially network card) then do a clean install /custom /delete all partitions and create newSave a Rachael

I am tried updating windows on W7 but the error code comes -
Error code: 8007000E
Please let me know how I can fix this, saw a video on YT but didn't help.
I am sure there are millions of users who may have this problem in the past.
