Help with SUMIF Formula

Hi All,


I need a figure from cell M5 in tab 1 to be removed from the values between cells L4 and L55 in tab 2 as I need a figure of 0 to return to ensure they reconcile and this formula will complete this. How do I write this?

Your question is a little unclear. It sounds like you mean the following - but it has nothing to do with SUMIF. So maybe I've misunderstood.

I'll assume that when you say tab1 and tab2 you mean Sheet1 and Sheet2

So assuming the calculated cell is to be in Sheet2...

=sum(L4:L55) -Sheet1!M5

Or if the calculated cell is to be in a different worksheet...

=sum(Sheet2!L4:L55) - Sheet1!M5

so, in column M, row 4 in the second sheet, you need to have =L4-Sheet1!$M$5 and then copy this down to row 55, this will subtract the value in sheet 1 M5 from cells L4 to L55 in sheet 2 and give you the results in column M.
