Hi,

System boiler quote. Already have 22mm pipes etc so prob not much rework there.

Drain down system
Remove existing boiler and recycle
Supply and fit 1 Baxi Ecoblue Heat 25kw System Boiler
Alter pipework as necessary
Add inhibitor and refill
Commission boiler
Register with Baxi and Gas Safe

£1291 plus vat

No mention of power flush. Do you need a flush for the warranty?

I did some searching in this because with have lengths of 10 mm pipes. It would appear that power flush is not absolutely required for warranty - just that system is clean. Could you check with Baxi themselves?


Every time the plumber comes over he states the system needs a power flush regardless of issue (even though the water is clean when drained out into a light coloured bucket!) There appears to be mixed opinion on power flushing on micro-bore systems. I do the chemical flush method of open-vented, pumped system as given in the British Standard. Takes a long time and does "!!!!es-off" my girlfriend.
