car stereo help

Just had a new moss stereo fitted. Cheap / basic version .
It's not very intuitive. No manual in box.

It's a modern stereo so I'm not used to it. It has Bluetooth and usb and sd card and standard radio.

Think there's a split in my aerial so I'm not getting a signal. I'll get that changed today.

But I'm trying to get Bluetooth on to use my phone but can't seem to.

On the left side of the dial there is
Band - changes saved fm stations
mode - changes tuner and aux
Ch+ - seeks stations

On the right side
TA/AF - turns on/off TA whatever that is
PTY - changes 'music' 'speech' 'fm'
APS - doesn't do much but appears to be with radio

Any help to get Bluetooth please?

Model appears to be M-R048T
And I can't find an online manual

Why are there no instructions in the box? Take it back to where you bought it, and ask for them.

New aerial doesn't seem to work too. Bloody nightmare.
I'm at the place I bought stereo. Just waiting.

A rare thing these days; you are expected to download the manual from the internet. I've had no manuals with two cameras, a tablet, and a smartphone recently. Printed manuals are, by and large, a thing of the past.

On most modern stereos pushing the volume dial will open the settings menu, they navigate by turning the dial.

TA = Traffic Announcement (allows local radio station to cut in when there are traffic alerts)
PTY = Programme Type (lets you search for e.g. music or speech programmes only)
APS = Automatic Programme Search? Best guess, perhaps pressing it will auto-tune to best available stations.


Have you googled 'M-R408T manual'? I'd be amazed if something didn't turn up.

Prepare to be amazed! Something does turn up, but none of the somethings appear to be a user manual for this stereo, even when using the correct model number (thanks Ed).

Hi, I was wondering if you found out how to work the Bluetooth function? I have just bought the same radio and experiencing the same issue!
