Just out of interest, where would you go to sell gold?

That's a neat way of laundering money, if it works.

"No preset spending limit" means you can buy lots of gold bars.

Just keep paying US$ into the account, and buying more gold bars.

Sell the gold bars in Amsterdam, or is it Rotterdam?

Or is it simply ID theft, and not pay Amex back after buying the gold bar?

I came up with that without smoking anything.
  • What you should do is go and buy 'you're gold bar' in another EU country, hide it in you're petrol tank and drive it through customs.

Don't forget to stick the receipt up you're bum too.

The money maker is that you don't declare or pay the VAT.

Now sell in the UK and go back and forth upping how much you put in you're petrol tank everytime.:j

Just about all bullion dealers will buy gold bullion and the good ones will pay the current spot price.

    What VAT?

No VAT on gold in the UK.

We pay VAT on silver, platinum and palladium.

It's not only the UK. There is no VAT on investment gold in all EU countries.
