E-ON Account Payment issues
Currently my provider for Gas & Electric is with E-ON and pay by monthly DD. I submit monthly readings each month and get billed quarterly.
I have discovered on my account that there are daily/weekly separate small payments of £2-£3 pounds being made onto my account?
I questioned this with E-ON, and they did some re-search and said to me they cant canx the payments, tried to track the down the payments to find out who is making them but no luck.
All they can do is keep removing the payments, each month.
They also said there is nothing else they can do until the "main board" has been updated by who ever is making these payments and then can track down the location of pre paid meters.
This has been going on since 2013.
I am not happy as I cant tell if I'm in credit or not and E-on have tried to charge me more each month which im assuming is due to this error.
My question is - Should I switch provider's ? and would this problem occur with them ?
Advise needed
Thanks

Hi misscarly and welcome to the forums.
To be honest I'm not quite sure you've been told the right thing.
These situations happen, when a pre-payment meter is removed from a property then re-used in another property but the link with serial numbers etc, stay with the original property, so all the payments keep coming to that account.
I'm sorry if that sounds a bit jumbled.:o
It's an issue for our pre-payment department to sort out for you, they need to unlink that meter with your property (break the link) this will then stop the payments coming to you.
I can help, I can get you in touch with the right people, if you'd like to email all your details to me

Thanks for getting back to me.
But they have tried that already (I think) and said they can`t do it due to the "main board" which will need updating first only by person in the property where the pre paid meter is contacting e-on, before they can update your systems to remove this pre paid meter and payments from my account.
But, if you wish to give it one last go then go ahead, how do we move forward with this

I wish someone would credit my energy bill accounts every month, even if it's just a quid, but I won't object if its higher.
How do I apply?
All donations greatfully received!0 -
