New claim got first appointment today need tips

last time i claimed was 8 months ago i just left since family was willing to help but now i need to sign back on in the last few weeks of my last signing on they put a lot of pressure on me finding a job wanted to know if i go back on it now will they start that over again or will it be a clean slate?

Also i keep hearing that they you should not give them access to your universal job match but is this the right thing to do?

Just want to really look for a job and also keep under the rador

Stick to your job seeking commitment, that's the only tip you need.

Is there any training that might help you in your job search? Your local college or library can offer help with improving literacy, if that would help?

When I was on JSA for 2 months two years ago I let them access my universal job match. I don't see why you wouldn't, if you're fulfilling you're requirements they can see it. Otherwise you've got to write it down to show them and that seems like s pointless exercise when it's so easy to log your things on UJ.

Terrible of them to expect you too actually look for work when you are claiming Job Seekers Allowance!!!!

If you want to 'keep under the radar' don't claim otherwise you have to go by the rules of the agreement you sign.....If you still haven't found work then you obviously need their help.
