    An S&S ISA should return more than the 3% Santander pay. It's probably best to leave that where it is - especially if the market is still down.

    We want to diversify. We decided that we would both have some of the money after paying off debts and a lump sum on the mortgage and he chose S&S ISA whereas I would rather have mine in cash. I've got a lower attitude to risk than he has.
    The £20K that is going to go into the S123 account isn't the full amount of the inheritance money we have left.
