Electoral roll

I recently moved house and filled in the online request to join the electoral roll of my new local authority. I requested the option of NOT having my details publicly available.
On requesting my credit rating through Noddle, I see I have an "average" rating and would like to improve it if possible. I also notice that the file states that there is no information about entry on an electoral roll.
Is this because I opted for the NON public information?
If I changed this, would my credit file receive electoral roll information?
Would this improve my rating?
Thanks in advance for information.

How recent is recently? The CRA aren't updated instantaneously when you change address on the electoral register. It can take several months.0

Electoral roll is usually updated every May and October0

I have never been on the electoral roll and I am able to get credit including loans and credit cards at very good rates of interest.
If you've never had credit before then it can help prove you are a real person without having to provide passports and driving licences.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

no, its nothing to do with whether you opt in or out of being on the 'public' list.
millions of us opt out but appear on the credit agencies as being on the roll.0 -
Doesn't make much difference really.

+1
I am on the electoral roll, but due to them not using anything like the correct format for my address it doesn't show on any of the CRAs that I am. Getting it corrected has been on my to do list for years, but I have very rarely been refused credit, and even then its times where I wasn't that confident of acceptance because of other criteria.0
