ppi on next loan

Hi guys
I complained about a ppi being sold to me in 1999 on a loan. I took another loan out 2 years later (almpst half way trhough my first loan)and it paid the existing one off early. I think they added the previous ppi interest charges etc over to my new loan. So I ended up taking extra.
They upheld my first loan because it was clearly a miss sell. But the second loan didn't get uphold. I'm a bit confused as to why . I rang them. But the guy I spoke to seemed to be new and didn't understand properly.
Or Am I getting this wrong. ?

Did they say why the second loan was not upheld and did they have information regarding this loan to give compensation?.
It is possible they gave you the PPI remaining from loan one that was paid using the second loan, in the redress that you received.
If they did not give you a breakdown for the first loan you need to phone and ask.0
