Webbrowser issues in windows 10

Experiencing serious issues with windows 10 web browsers.
Full history is windows 10 completely crashed, unrepairable after a recent upgrade to the newest version 1511. It had failed a number of times so I forced it and it broke - completely - wouldn't restore, wouldn't go back, wouldn't do a repair, or even a replace all files and repair. Gave up. Wiped hard drive, downloaded latest disk from MS and installed.
Everything works now except webbrowsers. Basically Edge and Firefox both flicker the bottom half of the screen. It was an absolute pig to get chrome because you could only see half a screen just to download it. Chrome works - thankfully.
Now I know some will say, just use Chrome, but I want to get my computer fixed, and although I'm sure I will primarily use Chrome I do need a backup browser. Neither Edge nor Firefox are this at the moment.
Now it could just be a graphics card issue? But I don't see why it seems browser dependent. Firefox is the better option to identify the error, because occasionally it stops flickering, if I stop using it and use a different window.
It seems to be something popping up in the debug window, and then off and then on and then off etc. The only error message I've identified is
This site makes use of a SHA-1 Certificate; it's recommended you use certificates with signature algorithms that use hash functions stronger than SHA-1
Which seems a trivial non-important problem - and I don't think the cause of the issue.
Does anyone have any ideas.
Bear in mind this is a brand new install. All updates have been installed. System bios is up to date - but claims is untested for windows 10 (and will not be).

its been mentioned on a few sites that there is a flaw with win 10/ie11 , in fact its mentioned over on pepipoo motoring forum
a "quick fix" , if it works is to go into settings (cog) /internet options/advanced/ and untick the 2 x debug options
eventually you will get this on all sites you go tooSave a Rachael

reboot , or at least shut and reopen ie
it seems that this is just happening over the last 10 days and only on win 10/ie11 , not on win 7 or 8 ,
Microsoft are pushing us to the "edge"Save a Rachael

lol, they said it was a brand new browser called edge, completely different from internet explorer. But then you get these error messages when the browser breaks and you can see the remnants of IE.0
