Just been giving my redundancy notice which is for the beginning of may and the letter says how much money I am entitled too, this was worked out on how much I get now.
From April the new living wage is £7.20 which is more then I get now should the redundancy payment be worked out on what I get now or will get when I leave.

In most cases it is based on the pay the week you leave.
For some people with certain types of variable pay it can be an average over the previous 12 weeks0 -
It should be based on the May rate so expect something slightly larger0
