Jump Starter/Battery Charger
Options
Hi guys
Ive a habit of leaving my headlights on from time to time, and coming back to a flat battery, it doesn't happen often but when it does its normally late at night or early morning as I work odd hours, so though ive cables in my car a jump start isn't always possible
My battery isn't that old, but died within about 20 mins of leaving my lights on the other night..
Wondered what products/charges etc etc someone can recommend, I don't know much about car at all, but someone mentioned trickle chargers etc, I'm guessing though I'm looking for something that's not mains powered?
Cheers!

Hi there,
Had to jump start my neighbours car the other day which made me contemplate this same situation. I have now purchased the following
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00WSSHVK4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00
The product was recommended to me by a good friend. It will jump start our 3.0l v6 20 times before needing to be recharged. A handy item to keep in the boot.0 -
I bought a similar product based on recommendations from here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jumping-Jack-Supermax-Portable-Charger/dp/B00UJ9Q6B4/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1454456905&sr=1-1&keywords=jumping+jack
It's very compact, easy to use and had no problems jump starting my 2.5L petrol engine when the car was showing no signs of life. It's great being able to easily carry it with the car and knowing if I do need a jump start I've got it there ready to go.

Doesn't it beep when you get out with the lights on? Years agoI installed a buzzer between courtesy light and light switch as a reminder. Such kits are still available now for less than £2.

Just a word of caution, if its only lasting 20 mins with the headlights on, even a very small 40amp battery is showing only 25% health, so i would suggest you change it ASAP.

I would add that repeatedly trying to charge or jump a clearly EOL (end of life) car battery can have spectacular, costly, explosive and highly dangerous results.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Instead of buying a jump pack remember to turn the lights off or fit a 99p buzzer to warn you the lights are on?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
