Keep it short and simple. I need to get a legitimate Windows key as cheaply as possible, happy with 7, 8 or 10 as I'll be upgrading to 10.

Ditch Windows and load Linux - it's free, it's better, it's faster, it's simpler, and it does all and more than Windows.

While i am a fan of Linux for a couple of my machines, what your saying is utter !!!!!!!!.
While it might be free, and technicaly more sound, its far from simple and lacks quite a few features that windows has. For example, a reasonable amount of my PC time is spent gaming, you go find me a simple installer package that can run my GTX 980 TI and steam in a VE without performance compromise? Also, my Wife uses AutoCAD for work, as far as im aware, that doesnt even exist on Linux.
perhaps the Linux movment would be better served if people were realistic about its strenghts and weaknesses.0 -

I agree. But that's completely irrelevant to the question the OP asked.
And most people would find Windows well worth the licence fee.0 -
ignore my pm about buying $35 serials on reddit. It's too risky.
Buy a broken windows 7 machine from ebay, install the windows 7 OS on the machine using the serial (make sure it's the same version as the one in serial). Then do phone activation and convince the customer support that it's the same computer - just upgraded a few components.
Then upgrade to windows 10.0 -

If you are refurbishing the PC to sell it on you can buy a Windows 7 MAR DVD for about £30 on Amazon. They ship from Germany so it'll take a week or two, but it is 100% legit and comes with a COA.
According to Microsoft you can't use it on your own PC though.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -

My "Recycling Centre" previously know as the tip/rubbish dump stops you taking anything you like the look of or could come in handy, or make you use the adjacent charity shop which recycles items and buy items for money.
You can buy OEM Windows 7 Pro/Home keys only on ebay for ~£10, key with OEM installation disc for ~£20-£30.0
