any help?

I have a friend who has found herself homeless after a difficult time, she has been working but has not secured regular work until this week and will be earning around £500 per week however I was wondering what help may be out there for her to obtain a deposit for a property. She has found a studio but with fees and deposit she requires close to £1000.
Any help appreciated.

Some councils, housing associations and charities offer rent deposit, bond and guarantee schemes that might be able to help her.

    When does she get paid?

Sounds like less than a month she'll have what she needs.

Can she not crash on someone's sofa or spare room until she has the deposit back?

Or not know anyone "good for" the money?

Credit history stuffed too? Not able to apply for a loan or credit card?

No parents to call on temporarily?

How has she ended up in this situation?

Without a fixed address, credit is out of the question.

People can become homeless for all kinds of reasons.

    Mum2Boys, is she in England?
