Scottish Power
Stupid question because it is entirely my own fault.
I've been with Scottish Power for the last few years on 3 different tariffs. I stupidly didn't write down or get paper copies of my statements.
How do I know if I was owed money going from one tariff to the next? I'm ususally in credit.
I particlarly need this information now as I am thinking of leaving SP.

Can you not download your last statement ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

I want to check all my statements over the years.0

Why?
Your credit or debit will be carried forward to the next and end up on the latest.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

You will find accounts going back two years, your credit from one Tarrif is carried to the next one. I don't know how to go back further.
Also, remember to fix monthly with updated readings to take advantage of latest prices. You are not charged exit fees when you do so. We are just waiting for the February deals to hit the net.0 -
Just checked. No fixed deals any good at the moment. Their previous Jan 17 which we are on is now closed. Think we can wait to end of month.
If you are not fixed, try the cancer one to drop your monthly cost, mint has no exit fees. Check later this month for updated offers.0 -

Most suppliers will simply carry any balance over (debit or credit) to a new tariff with them.
It's only if you switch supplier that there will be an actual balance that needs to be paid/repaid0 -
Thank you for all the replies and info. I'll see what I can figure out.0

I have just switched to the fixed rate cancer deal which ends Jan 18.Not only is it cheaper for gas, which they all have been lately, but is also cheaper, for a change, for electricity.Apart from the depths of winter our electric bill is higher. So a good deal for us and the best thing is if another deal becomes cheaper you can switch again.
And before everyone says Scottish Power are rubbish and I should move away, they have been ok for us for years and I am quite happy with their service, and their online facilities are really good.
