Bathroom Light Switch

Hi , can anyone please give me some advice .
I have light switch in my bathroom ( string pull type ) that needs replacing . I bought a new switch but when i opened the old one could not work out the wiring - there looks to be not earth with only two terminals used ( one has 3 wires running into it ) .

Just wire the new switch the same. Old lighting installations often aren't earthed. If you've not had one get an inspection of the whole house by an electrician.0

Can it be wired into either terminal or does it need to be in the right one .
The old switch is not marked but the new one the terminals are marked L1 and L2 ?

Doesn't matter but I would put the 3 wires in L1 and the single wire in L2.0
