I have been scouring the net and so far the best deal I can come with is as follows:
From LHR to CLT
Out 3/10/07 08.55 BA to JFK arr 11.20 then 15.59 US to CLT arr 17.46
Ret 7/10/07 13.25 US to JFK arr 15.18 then 19.40 JFK to LHR arr 07.40
BA fare £278.40 inc taxes
US fare $237.30 inc taxes
Total cost approx £400
Any better deal greatly appreciated.
Do not mind LHR or LGW. MAN would be better, but price is 1st consideration.
Many thanks

US Air do a direct flight to Charlotte from Gatwick.
try www.airline-network.co.uk for the following fares.
For the date you were looking at it comes in at £358 ea
3/10 dept 10:40 arr 14:30
7/10 dept 19.50 arr(8/10) 08:40
For other non-weekend dates this can be reduced to £338
Non-direct flights start at £306 Northwest out of Gatwick.
It may be worth noting that I think (not 100% sure) you will need to complete immigration formalities at the first point you land in the USA even if it is not your final destination and you are in transit. I'm sure if this is not correct someone will comment.0 -

Thanks. I will have to complete immigration at point of entry. Have flown many times into US.
The deal from airline network is very good. I had forgotten about US flying direct from Gatport Airwick. Thanks for reminding me!
