  • I just applied and got accepted for the Clarity. It was clear during the application how you would be eligible for the £5 reward, I will get this along with the fiver from the Reward Current Account. Thanks for the info guys!
  • So yeah, quite far down the process they do state that "if you meet conditions...." with minimum payin for the rewards account, or if you have ultimate rewards account you get reward cashback.

I popped into my local branch, and picked up credit card leaflet, THe first one is clarity card and it does list "Earn a reward each month" as the third perk. The first two perks being "No usage fees" & "A simple rate".

Just waiting to receive that card now....

I have both a Reward account and a Clarity CC from the Halifax and obtain £5 per month from each as cashback. For the CC, this is subject to you spending at least £300 for the month - if you don't, you lose the cashback for that month.

Sorry Yorkshire Boy - Just seen your previous post stating the above .....

I have held a Clarity card for a few years now (specifically for spending abroad) and also have a Reward current account - is it safe to assume the card I have will provide the cashback if the conditions are met, or do they come in different 'flavours' ?

I just checked my statements to see if there is any indication of it being a reward card. It says

"As you've spent at least £300 on your Clarity Rewards card this month, you've earned your £5 reward. This will be credited to your account next month and you'll see it within your list of transactions. Don't forget, to keep receiving your £5 reward, you'll need to spend a minimum of £300 in a month, keep within your credit limit and make at least the minimum payment."

Months where I haven't spent £300 it makes no mention of rewards.

Just got my card and the next statement date is March 10th. I've credited my Rewards Current with the required amount. Does this mean I need to spend £300 by Match 10th? To get the £5 next month. Probably too late for this statement month.
  • What happens if something get returned? Like if you get a big piece of equipment but somehow you have to refund it. Does that decrease the amount counted towards the £300?

Yes, or probably by 8th or 9th March in order to get onto this month's bill.

Thank you. I'm not going to spend just for a fiver in a week. Lol. I will wait for the next month. Thanks for the clarification.
