Just bought a re-pro house and get the keys on Monday. The gas meter is missing. Not sure if its been nicked or removed due to non payment, most likely the latter. Anyone know how i go about getting a new one? Thanks.

Hi
If it's been capped then it was removed by the provider to make things less attractive to squatters, Tea leaf won't bother about capping.
Call gas provider .

It must have been capped otherwise wouldn't gas be escaping?
Call British Gas and get your meter point reference number (MPRN). You then need to phone energy helpline on 0870 608 1524, quote the MPRN and they can tell you if the house is connected to a specific supplier, and if so who that supplier is. Then ring that supplier and they will sort out a new meter. It maybe with no supplier, in which case you can choose one. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
You then need to phone energy helpline on [STRIKE]0870 608 1524,[/STRIKE] quote the MPRN
Or you can try these numbers from saynoto0870, instead of the rip off 0870 number:-
