If you have cahs use that, the things you were going to buy with cash can go ion CC or be creative and save up for the newer stuff.

Could you have a natter with a car hire company and see what a tiny one litre would cost for a month or two? It won't be cheap but it might give you some breathing space. I estimate that £4000 per annum means around £400 per month for a train ticket. Not that damaging if it gets the right places. Could a bike/taxi/bus cut the journey down?0

It would count as a credit commitment.
Its a contract that you would have to pay monthly so would be included in affordabilityI am a Mortgage Adviser
