I can sympathise, we had our offer accepted on the Friday and then our car was written off (whilst parked) on the Saturday night. I was advised not to take out additional borrowing and we have therefore bought a car with our pay out and furniture and decorating fund....
Not ideal timing but I suppose it demonstrates you can prioritise spending.
