Time for a new telly?

I have a Sony Bravia 32 in TV that is 5 years and 3 months old.
Occasionally when it is switched on the screen has no picture, either from the Sky box or its digital tuner, yet the on screen display shows its info.
Also when changing the input source it shows the on screen info, TV, HDMI, scart, component etc.
Switching it of at the mains and leaving it for a minute then switching it on again fixes it, until the next random time, sometime between a day and a couple of weeks.
Time for a new TV or wait until the switching it off and on again stops working or is there a cure?

I got a samsung 4k tv before christmas to replace my 8 year old Panasonic plasma which had finally given up on me.
The picture on my tv is out of the world and and a huge improvement on my plasma.
the apps are also very to use.0
