I really think he needs to support his children, if the case is open with the csa - then ask them to review it, it can take upto 10 weeks...
It may well be its the new cms - I haven't dealt with them (yet), I dont hold out much hope...

I struggle to get £5 a week child support from my ex... As for the other children, the csa will take her children into account before your children get a consideration (my ex moved onto someone with 6 children... then they had one 2gether)...

As for the other debts, i would let companies know his new address...as for what he owes you, in all honestly I doubt you would get a penny, he doesn't sound like he cares about what happened...

I know its hard but for your own sanity I would bite my teeth (even thou it would rile me to heaven and back... (csa arrears for me...) and hit him how you can with the csa
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • Thank you all for your responses. Framing it as my children's money that I can use to improve their lives does really make it easier to tackle him. We would love to have our own house, which in turn is an investment in my children's futures as it would be theirs one day, so being debt-free and saving up a deposit are my biggest motivations right now.

I'm going to grit my teeth and tackle him

sometimes a 2nd pair of eyes makes the difference.

I was the same with my ex... it was almost not worth getting the csa (£5 a week) he didnt pay till she was 9 yrs old..) but it goes for stuff for DD, £10 goes for her phone and £10 gym.

    Good luck x

Good luck OP, it sounds like you've done the best thing you could for your children in a rubbish situation.

I would certainly be chasing for the correct amount of child support, and passing his details onto the creditors to collect payment from him for some of his debt.
