Incorrect. Before purchasing the item the promotional credit will be shown removed from the item and how much is chargeable.0 -

I think you'll find you're incorrect.
The purchase screen doesn't show deduct promotional credits, and it's taken up to half an hour before I've been able to see the purchase price in my order history.0 -
It is ridiculous, but to check your digital balance:
Add a digital purchase to your basket.
Under the button "buy this app" - you will see another option "Redeem a gift card or promotion code"
Click this and you will see your balances.
I just tried this to test it on a Kindle book - and it instantly bought the book and I never saw this at any point (I don't have one click buy)...had to return and get refund..0 -
I am able to check how much credit I have, not a problem. I had a couple of quid Digital music credit and I thought I'd use it up, but it didn't come off and now they have taken it off my gift card balance instead
:(:(
and you can't return digital music**Debt Free as of 15:55 on Friday 23rd March 2012**And I am staying that way

Yes that's the most annoying thing. I have a gift card balance, a promotional credit balance and a no rush delivery balance for renting videos etc. When I go to rent a video I would obviously like the no rush delivery credits designed specifically for that purpose to be used, especially as they have an expiry date on. But oh no Amazon take it off my gift card balance instead! There are no options at checkout when renting a video to select what payment method you would like to use. Unlike when buying a product off the normal Amazon website where you can decide by checking a box against gift card or promotional balance what type of balance you would like to use. Why can't they do this for video and digital purchases? Instead they say the credit is automatically applied and then they apply the wrong credit from the gift card instead of the no rush credit.0
