ITRA - Advice and further options?

Hi, recently my parents have decided to get rid of their timeshare stuff, but found out they couldn't sell it on as promised when they first bought it.
So they contacted this group, but they're asking for various things that seem a bit strange. Has anyone had any contact with the ITRA company? Does anyone have any experience with any other decent companies that do the same sort of job? Or are they just resigned to getting nothing back from this?
Thanks for any help.

IMO none of the companies involved with timeshare can be considered legit.
We used to have timeshare many years ago and encountered a similar situation ... in our case we could have sold on, but the prices being offered (after selling charges) were stupid given what we originally paid. In the end we just handed it back in lieu of outstanding management/maintenance charges and just cut our losses.0 -
Weren't "secondhand" timeshares being sold on eBay for £1 a few years ago.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Yep. Some contracts don't let you hand it back. Usually the same contracts would also have spiralling maintenance fees, hence peoples desperation to get out of the contract.
Most in that category would give away the timeshare for free. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
