Removing wallpaper

What is the most effective/easiest way of removing wallpaper that is on an interior flat wall on plaster-board, please?

All I get on the Home (including DIY forum) is the following message:

It is one of those things I wish I had bought years ago.

Not if yo9u use a steamer. (That is effectively what they do)

Is the paper painted over? If so, it might be a good idea to scratch the surface all over with a stanley knife first.
