Yes you can, they're obliged to look at all evidence submitted before the strict timescale.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. We will cause you no trouble. We seek only to continue our research in peace".0

According to this thread you have already been awarded PIP enhanced care.

Is this query about you or someone else?
What sort of photos are we talking about?
Pictures of aids might be suitable but an untidy flat with dirty dishes wouldn't be good evidence as lots of 'well' people have untidy places!0 -
How on earth can you photograph a mental health issue which, by its very nature is not visible?0

Those wouldn't demonstrate a mental illness, just an inability to tidy up after yourself. There are many people who have similar houses who do not have any mental health issues. The report from a professional will carry far more weight as it cannot be 'staged'.Me I got my wires crossed n mis heard etc im mentally axhausred good N bac day i struggles to keep flat clean. How do you order your takeaways? Can you not get food from the supermarket in a similar way?
On the Old Style board there is a thread where people break down cleaning tasks into daily bitesize pieces. I'm sure that would give you some ideas on getting your home into shape.0 -
We could all make our homes a dirty mess and take photos if we wanted to, it doesn't entitle us to handouts.0

Sounds like every student house I've ever been in. Doesn't lend much weight to a PIP claim.0 -
instead of taking pictures of the rubbish ... why not pick it up and put it in the bin?

It's not necessarily that simple when it's due to mental illness.
With hoarding, for instance, there can be an attachment to the 'rubbish', or someone might not see it as rubbish - what to others is a used piece of kitchen towel could be seen as something reusable. It's easy to become blurred about what's 'rubbish' and what's reusable. Just look at plastic carriers, some people bin them others reuse until they split.
Or there can be paranoia about throwing stuff away, in case people are going through the bins. Or could even be too scared to leave the house and get as far as the bins.
It could even be a result of good intentions - 'oh, I'll take those plastic bottles to the recycling at the tip', but never get round to it.
And after a while, you just don't notice the rubbish. Or it becomes too much and you just don't know where to start.
It'd be pretty hard to 'stage' several years of stuff piling up.
In my case for instance, as a hoarder, I use rubbish as physical barriers. So, I can have piles of empty boxes in the hallway to make sure that if someone gets through the door they can't get to me. And to make sure that no-one would want to visit me and so I can keep my 'sanctuary' areas safe.
A solution might be logical for one person but utterly impossible for someone else - which is why it's mental illness.
(Before anyone starts, my hoarding/house issues aren't and never have been a part of a benefit claim, but I have used DLA to pay for private therapy to help with them and I'm much better now).Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
