Norfolk Broads

HI

I am going to the Norfolk Broads for a week in June. I wondered if anyone had any helpful advice, moneysaving or otherwise. I plan to take breakfast and lunch and enough food for two nights. Some people I have spoken to have taken all their own food because it is expensive. Others say that have taken none. What do you all think. Are there plenty of shops? If so are they expensive. All tips are welcome.

I should take a reasonable amount of food as you will be in the middle of nowhere most of the time.

There are pubs along the broads where you can stop and eat, and the odd small shop, but nothing much better than that unless you stop in Great Yarmouth or one of the other few large towns along your route.

We loved it when we were on the Broads a few years back, so I hope you enjoy it. :)

Have a look at thread Caravan and Holiday Cookery (merged)as you will find some good ideas there.
I've just got back from 9 days caravaning and by planning meals ahead was able to last the whole 9 days without having to buy extra (apart from milk)

Pasta is a good standby, stir some eggs/cream into the cooked pasta together with and some chopped, fried mushrooms or bacon and you have a quick meal for which the uncooked ingredients keep reasonably well.

Anyone know what type of shoes are suitable on the deck of these boats? In fact has anyone got any tips in general for boating?
