as we can clearly see by clicking on the DVLA website , or even eurocarparts or Halfords , when you type in a VRN the answer returns as to the Make and model , if you type a 0 instead of a o , it will not register , nor will it accept a number that does not exist.




with such a simple bit of technology available , how are the likes of PE and others allowed to get away with charging after a mistyped number has been entered

    All you need is a watch. And access to the DVLA.

    They don't even need access to the DVLA. As the terminals know what cars are and are not in the car park, they can flag up any mismatches...except that would seriously dent their profits.

    correct , how can a contract be formed (entering vrn No) if the vehicle is not on site?
