Hoping to start postgraduate study in September, want to be able to apply for a CDL

I've been sitting on a bit of debt for a few years now, but am going to be in a position to clear it in full within three months. As part of this I've had a CCJ, and been dragging out the whole repayment process for ages because of low income. If I clear this debt by mid April, will I be able to build up my credit rating enough to be able to apply for a careers development loan, or some other line of credit, just in case I need it sometime in 2017?

Comments

  • CCJ will stay on your credit file for 6 years; when was that ? Anything like a ccj or a default means it's unlikely you will get a CDL or any other kind of loan while that is on your file.
