Morrisons now have a new phrase to annoy us along with 'approval needed' and 'unexpected item in bagging area,'
'Surprising item in bagging area.'
!!!!!!?
What does it even mean?
Anyone else found this?
I wouldn't have minded as much, but there was nothing there FGS!

Such as
'Surprising item in bagging area, Why are you buying chocolates when you're on a diet'
or
'Surprising item in bagging area. You've bought a bottle of vodka but not any coke'.
or
'Surprising item in bagging area. Why have you bought cat food when you've got a dog'.

'Surprising' is a strange word to use.0 -

Maybe they have introduced smart tills that look at you and analyse your purchases.

Surprising item in the bagging area
Can you guess what it is???
If you can, it's free!!!!
No?:rotfl:The mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o
A winner listens, a loser just waits until it is their turn to talk:)0 -
In Tesco it is "unexpected" item in the bagging area. typically something you are trying to buy.0

It's a surprise gift for you
The Morrison's near me had the most awful self-service tills. Every time anyone looked at one staff had to manually put something through. The new "surprising" version seems less fussy, progress is progress...
"0 bag" annoys me. It shouldn't, but it does. Put an s on it please! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
