Travel insurance and possible pregnancy

Hi all,
We have a holiday to USA booked in June, which has been booked for a while.
We are just about to start our first round of IVF after a long wait, and I'm just wondering if anyone can give advice regarding travel insurance?
When I've got quotes they haven't given me the option to say if I'm pregnant so I'm not sure if that means a possible pregnancy would be covered or not. Obviously I won't know for a month or so of I am pregnant, and if I am then I'll be around 15 weeks when we travel.
I'm wondering if I should wait until I know if I'll be pregnant before buying insurance, or if I should just go ahead and get it.
If anyone could offer any advice that would be great.
Thanks 😀

If you know you're pregnant when you buy cover they won't pay out.0

From my Columbus policy:Travelling when pregnant
Pregnancy is not a medical condition. You may
decide to travel until you are quite late into your
pregnancy. Airlines and ferry/shipping companies
including cruise liners have their own restrictions
due to health and safety requirements. You should
check with them or any other mode of transport
you propose to take before you book. Please make
sure that your medical practitioner and midwife
are aware of your travel plans, that there are no
known complications and that you are not
travelling against any medical advice. We have the
right to request a medical certificate to confirm
this. We will only pay claims due to a complication
of pregnancy, or where you were unaware of the
pregnancy at the time of purchasing the insurance
and you are advised not to travel by a medical
practitioner.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
Its another example of why insurance should be booked at the same time as a holiday. If insurance was in place you would be able to get advice from your insurer.
As there is no insurance in place you now either have to get insurance whilst undergoing IVF, or wait and see what happens, then insure based on the situation at the time and declare the IVF treatment you have had.0 -
Are you wanting to ensure that you are insured for any pregnancy related issues while travelling. If so then you should be fine as I don't believe you need to tell your insurer about being or becoming pregnant. Although if there's a medical problem related to the pregnancy before you take out the insurance you would need to declare it just like any other pre-existing condition.
Are you wanting to be covered so that you can cancel if you become pregnant? That is not something you can be covered for.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -

That is most likely not true. Pregnancy doesn't need declared0
