Windows Media Player Keeps Crashing

Hi


We have an audio file which my son needs to listen to - german listenings school homework. Everytime we open the file, it automatically launches windows media player. It then plays for about 10 second and then crashes.


This is the file:

My software is Windows 8. Can anyone help please?

try d/loading a different player , media player classic or vlc should do it , MPC is small https://mpc-hc.org/ the default d/load is 64 bit , d/load accordingly , PS the file plays on my win 10 with MPC

I'm still having problems with this. I've downloaded mpc-hc.org but the file still keeps opening in Windows Media Player.


I've gone into Programs to delete it, but WMP doesn't appear in the Programs list.


I've tried downloading the MP3 file to my pc, so that I can open the file within a program, but there is no option for downloading the file. Basically, I can only open the MP3 file which doesn't give me any options to play the file in a different program. Its just Windows Media Player or lump it.


What am I doing wrong?

Highlight file, right click then open with, select program.

ok , the link you first posted , right click and "save as" , d/load to a folder on your PC , THEN right click the file and select "open with" and select the correct proggy


MPC wont appear in the default list , wait till it asks to to manually select , then go to programme files hpc-hc and select (in my case ) hpc-64


sorry not on a win 8 machine , so struggling
