Not quite a newbie to this as it's my 3rd PCN, this time from CEL
. I was surprised to receive a letter saying the PCN is cancelled, so thanks all again for the info on here.
Brief details if it helps anyone else out,
Fairfield hospital, Bury, parked in a 'permit only' area without displaying a permit. Waited for the NTK then appealed as keeper with the following straight from the newbie sticky,
I challenge this PCN as keeper of the above vehicle.
I believe that the signs were not seen/are ambiguous and the terms unclear to drivers before they park.
There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. You must either rely on the POFA 2012 and offer me a POPLA code, or cancel the charge.
I have kept proof of submission of this appeal and look forward to your reply.
And that's it. Slightly disappointed to be honest, I was expecting more of a fight before they rolled over. Cheers

That's good. So the short template appeal works with CEL!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It will work any time.mangadarkogirl wrote: »Please can I ask how recent this was? Thanks.
But if rejected first time, POPLA will kill it if the keeper appeals and sticks with our script and points out the usual appeal points, starting with the fact that the NTK is not worded to allow keeper liability.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This was from a windscreen ticket from 4 months ago. The whole car parking on site at this hospital is designed to extract as many parking violations as possible. THere are very few spaces available for public, PLENTY of permit parking so unless you're arriving first thing in the morning you've had it.0

For future reference concerning appeals within the Pennine Acute footprint, note that CEL do not have a direct contract with the Trust:
