Disney Pandora

Hi everyone
I'm in great need of some advice please, I collect Pandora beads and have recently started collecting Disney Pandora beads which are only available in the US !
I emailed the author of the Mora Pandora blog to ask if I could get them in the uk and she put me in touch with a Facebook page called Disney Pandora Angels, the page is used for selling authentic Disney Pandora all around the world, I thought it was a good page as there were rule and good seller lists etc
Last Thursday one of them women who were on the good sellers list advertised a set of beads they wanted so I spoke to her she seemed trustworthy and friendly, she told me to pay through PayPal friend and family to avoid charges which I did.
I received the beads on Wednesday and initially they looked ok so I emailed and thanked her, however on closer inspection one of the beads had a gem missing and the other bead had some defects, I assumed I needn't worry as she seemed so nice however as soon as I let her know she straight away posted on the page asking for an admin to contact her which I thought was strange !
She became distant and basically said I he to return the beads and if she could get a refund from Pandora she would refund me, my issue is I bought the beads from her not Pandora so why should I have the worry of waiting for a refund ?
I let her know I was not happy and contacted Pandora us, I gave them her name and address and they confirmed she had an account and that she had been in contact with them but what she had spoke to them about conflicted with what I was telling them and this had raised a red flag on her account and that they wanted me to file a police report !! Obviously now I am questioning the authenticity of the beads !!
I have let admin know and apparently they are reviewing all the info ? Please could anyone let me know if I have any rights as being the uk I just don't know what to do :mad:

I think you are at the mercy of the seller here.

PayPal gift so no comeback through them.

Located in the US, so at the mercy of US laws.

Buying off Facebook so possibly not even a business seller.

In future, when paying by PayPal, pay normally but add the charges on yourself so you have comeback through them if someone requests PayPal gift.

How did you fund the PayPal payment? If credit card they may be able to help you.

You have still got the beads, and from what you've said the defects are not that apparent. Better than nothing?

Could I call the police in that country if I believe the beads are counterfeits

    Of course you can.
Do you know the counterfeit laws of the particular state where the seller trades from?

Another idea might be to approach The Better Business Bureau.
  • Thank you she lives in Florida, so I will google the laws, it's so difficult to know the best way to go about getting a refund

Here is perhaps a more useful BBB page:

but note that in the list of complaints they don't handle is:
Complaints against individuals not engaged in business
  • Thank you, would she still be classed as a business even though she only sells on the Disney Pandora selling page

    I've no idea.

What is deemed a business in the US of A may well be different to the UK.

That is something else for you to google. ;)
  • Will do thank you
