Public Liability cover from home insurance

Thanks chap, looks like they will dodge a bullet.
I have grave concerns the company operating the FL truck don't have deep enough pockets to meet the claims and with no RTA cover in place or the MIB to pick up the tab, the prospect of recovery is a bit grim.0

Reads to me that they exclude liability for any mechanical vehicle which is required by law to carry third party liability as required by the RTA.
Which is a common exclusion on Liability policies to avoid covering cars and vans etc0

Banging my head against a wall on this one. Try speaking with LV to ask them which specific clause of their T&C they are relying on to confirm no indemnity - duly pointing out the generic terms (from your link above) only to be told they can't confirm which specific clause due to Data Protection!
They say that beyond the generic T&C there may be other exclusions, but they can't reveal these, again due to DPA.
Looks like the policyholder will be getting hosed down for a lot of money instead. Last resort is another go at MIB incase the MIB wording is contradictory to EC Regulations.0

The joys of employees who do not understand the Data Protection Act.0
