Reverse ISMS

This is just a bit of a niggle for me.
I'm noticing a lot of reverse isms in competitions recently and wondered if anyone else is concerned.
Now obviously predjudice of any sort should not be tolerated and I am in no way making light of the whole idea of discrimination for whatever reason.
But.....do these not constitute reverse ISM?
Competition only open to LBGQ(ok so I may not be Lesbian,Bi,Gay or Queer but why can't I enter the competition?)(genderISM)
Come on ladies enter to win (I'm not a lady)(sexISM)
Post a picture of you running(I don't run)(healthISM?ableISM)
Only open to minorities(I don't think I am)(raceISM)

Most companies run comps to make people aware of what they sell (in basic terms, I appreciate not every company sells something). Their prizes often relate to what they sell/market/whatever. Nothing discriminatory in that. I think the world's gone mad, personally.

I agree with what hazyjo, I think it's mainly just trying to make people aware of the target market. There's not necessarily anything from stopping you from entering, apart from in the running example. But, comps like that are probably meant to filter out the people who may just be entering for the sake of it.

I haven't seen any examples of competitions restricted to LGBT so I can't comment on that. I've seen one comp limited to minorities and it was a short story one, all I can think is there must of been some kind reasoning for that like it had to be based on a theme or something.

It can be quite a dilemma. There are loads of valentine's comps with meals/hotels etc for 2 people which would mean choosing which of your 2 wives you want to take along and which one to leave at home.

This has to be illegal? Can't imagine a competition for 'white, middle class ladies only', even if they are the target market.

Generally comes from individuals who have this absurd idea that prejudice = privilege + power and subsequently try to justify their bigotry and censorship by suggesting that you can't have reverse discrimination because you're part of a minority and/or oppressed (ie. not a white, straight Christian/Atheist man).

There are people (myself included) known as egalitarians (inc. equity feminists) and cultural libertarians who are challenging this mindset with logic, rationality and evidence to debunk claims made by such people and expose their discrimination in the public eye.
