I have decided to use my PC for phone calls and bought a headset with two plugs on it.
Question, my monitor which has speakers has the same type of cable which plugs into the back of my hard drive. The thing is I have had to unplug it to put in my head which now works fanatastic but obviously my speakers in the monitor don't work. How can I get my PC to use says its sound card for its own sound so that when I am not wearing the headset I can still hear it's sound. Or can I buy a double speaker jack so that I can have both cables plugged in?
Sorry , not very technical ah.

Hi jasmin, I use one of these and it works a treat. You use it to switch between headset / speakers .

hey, that looks like just what I need. So the two jacks that you can see in the picture go into the back of my hard drive, but I can't see any holes on the picture for where I plug the two cables from my headset and a 3rd for my speak jack? How do I connect my three jacks.TopCashback £1792.63My Little World0

That would also work. You plug the male end into your computer, then into one of the female connectors you plug your speakers, then the other you plug your headset. Assuming you only have one microphone, the one with your headset, you can keep that plugged straight into your computer without any adapters.0 -
I think the adapter switch thing might be better as the splitter is always connected so when using the headset I will get the persons voice in stereo which they also hear and creates an echo for them.
Thanks for your reply though.TopCashback £1792.63My Little World0
