Sarnafil v classicbond rubber roof

I am currently having a flat roof extension built on the back of my house (roof trusses on already) and my architect specified Sarnafil roof material which has a 15 year guarantee and as far as I can tell by the sample piece of rubber looks good quality. My builder has suggested Classicbond instead as it has a 20year guarantee but to me it doesn't look as good. I know nothing about these things and would appreciate an independent opinion on which I should go for. The job has been priced to include the roof so I am unaware if there is a difference in cost between the two. Any advice welcome.

All depends on how well it's fitted really. Both are good products and should last far in excess of a normal felt roof.
The main issue you will have is a reduced number of roofers to choose from if you go down the Sana route as they only supply approved contractors
  • Thanks for that. Fortunately, the roofing contractor appointed by our builder is approved to fit Sarnafil so that wouldn't be an issue. It is good to know they are both good products. Is one likely to be cheaper than the other?

sana is generally a bit pricier and those that fit it seem to big it up, not sure if PVC is any better than EDPM
