My Husband was told by Lloydstsb back in 1998-99 that he had to take out a select account to get back his £200 overdraft that he had but they suddenly stopped and he used his overdraft every month at the time to live.
He never had a mobile phone ,never used the sentinel card insurance and he thinks he had travel insurance on it to but cant remember but as he was in armed forces he would not be entitled to it and the car breakdown he used 3-4 times in 2003-2004.
In 2012 the bank wrote to him and informed him he was being put back onto a current account that included his £200 overdraft.
He put in a claim for the package account saying he was told he had to take this account to get back his £200 overdraft or loss it completely and that he never needed any of the products as at the time of been told he never owed a car or mobile phoned and so none of the products were of any use.
He kept the account for about 14 plus years and only used his overdraft and only kept it because he did not want to loss his £200 overdraft
Lloyds phoned today and asked him some questions and said they would phone back this evening which they did they said ,No he could not claim because he had used the breakdown 4 times in total and that they had no record going back that far to prove that the bank manager had told him to take out the select account to keep his overdraft.
Also that he could have changed back to a current account at any time instead of waiting till 2012 and still kept his £200 overdraft.
He was never told he could change back and keep his overdraft and was worried if he did he would lose it and like I have already mentioned it was lloyd's who put his account back to current in 2012 not my husband.
Do you think we have a case to take to the FOS or not ,don't know what to do next

You can refer your case to FOS (it will cost you the price of a stamp), but your complaint is hardly compelling.
You make hearsay allegations which are impossible to prove.0 -
A reclined package account sounds really laid back :rotfl:0
